Youth/Adult Classes
We offer classes once or twice a week, for 30 minutes, (unless otherwise stated) year round. Waterkids Classes are organized by ages and skill levels. Once registered your child will attend the same day and time each week.
Our Youth classes are founded on the Waterbabies and Swimplicity learn to swim curriculum. We work with our swimmers to develop a harmonious relationship with the water through breathing exercises and correct body alignment, prior to introducing the strokes. Our learn to swim program uses the child's relationship with the water as their primary safety device. Our highly trained Instructors work with each child to promote learning in a positive and safe environment.
NEW CLASSES***Swim Stroke Technique Class 12yrs to Adult Work on sculling, body alignment, progressing stroke and endurance. (45mins)
NEW CLASSES***Learn to Swim 12yrs to Adult Learn to get comfortable in the water, floating, going under, etc. (45mins)
Youth 1 (6yr+) For children that have never taken swim lessons. We are developing comfort in the water, basic body positions, and safety skills.
Youth 2 (6yr+) These students have completed Youth 1 or are comfortable going under water. We follow the same curriculum as our Intermediate Swimmers class.
Intermediate Swimmers These children can swim the length of the pool independently. We are working on introduction of freestyle & refinement of elementary backstroke.
Advanced Swimmers These swimmers are working on expanding endurance, refining freestyle & the introduction to backstroke. (45-minute sessions)
Swim Club The focus of this class is the refining all strokes including breaststroke and butterfly with an emphasis on endurance. (45-minute sessions)
Pre-Competitive Swim Team This by invitation only class introduces swimmers to the world of Swim Teams. Swimmers focus on stroke refinement, endurance & speed through team drills. (45-60 minute sessions)
